I have another interesting problem for the team:
I recently have been doing some work so that I can open my Thrift Store for the 2019 Cycle in March. Part of these projects that I have been doing involves getting QuickBooks 2018 ready so that we can use it. 2 weeks ago, I had our Financial Secretary for the church come down and help me set up the program so that we are the right type of business, the right Fiscal year, and all of the things that will allow QuickBooks to run and give us the proper types of reports.
One of the MAIN things that I want to do is to use our new Barcode Scanner to and a barcode generator to allow me to make barcodes for our 15 categories of items that we sell. QuickBooks has the Inventory Module, and I have added it to the mix. I will have to learn how to integrate this barcode stuff as well.
NOW for the problem:
I have used the Windows Store App "Barcode Generator" to make the barcodes we need. Last week, I made several of them on my work machine, and everything is working fine. The problem is that my home machine (THRUSH) is NOT allowing this to run, and when I click on Barcode Generator, it launches, shows the title screen, and closes immediately. I therefore think that windows store is hosed, and I need a way to fix that - I do NOT want to reinstall windows, but it seems that there is NO way to fix this: EVERY time I download something, I am FORCED to sign in with a MICROSOFT account, and this has the effect of messing up my local account, brings all of the things that are on the machine at work down with it, and changes EVERYTHING, simply because I want to be able to download this program.
WHAT I have done:
I've Tried an Uninstall of Barcode Generator
I've tried a sfc /scannow
I've Tried a WSReset
I've Tried a new profile
Nothing works: I may need Britec on this one, as this is new to me: Usually, an uninstall does it: However, apps are something I am not as familiar with![Sad]( "Sad")
I am stumped: I don't want to reinstall windows because the store is somehow corrupted and wont run this app
